From the Garden

I've heard a lot of sad and/or difficult news in the past few days. In addition, it's the anniversary of the passing of two people who were young and had so much life in them, and who are greatly missed by their families. So more for myself than anyone else, here's a reminder of some of the beauty that exists even in the midst of sad and trying days.

This is what's blooming in my yard these days (not including the annuals which don't lend themselves to cutting/arranging in bouquets.) I did this rather hurriedly this morning before work, so the light isn't the best. But even so, there's color and loveliness galore, which is soothing and healing. Ah.

This would be a good one for a party invitation. Better save it. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing, and thanks for dinner and sympathy and empathy and friendship and fun. You're a true friend.

Oh, thanks! I thought it turned out pretty well, too, in spite of the bad light.

We are praying for you both! I feel so inadequate - but I hope you know that you can call day or night for any reason! And even if I'm not awake I'll try to sound like I am :)
