too tired to write much about our whirlwind trip to MN to visit Erin and check out her shanty, so I'll post some pictures and make some lists.Things I did on a frozen lake for the first time
1. Decorated and mailed a postcard
2. Petted some dogs
3. Watched a play
4. Ate a hot dog, drank cocoa
5. Watched bicycle races
6. Used a porta-potty
7. Talked with several of Erin's friends
8. Watched an art car parade
9. Read people's confessions
10. Stood on top of a (faux) surfacing submarine
11. Warmed up in a building made of old wine refrigerators
12. Watched a slide show of aerial photography through goggles
13. Had my picture taken in a shanty

1. The Grand Cafe - best meal I've had in years
2. Butter Bakery Cafe - mmmm
